Guardián de las Estrellas (Original Painting)

Created in Herradura, Costa Rica in June 2025, Guardian de las Estrellas was a custom 50 cm x 50 cm acrylic on canvas commission celebrating Gordo, a beloved cat. The collector envisioned their feline framed by a swirling starry night sky in the spirit of Van Gogh, and the result brought their vision to life.

Through posture and expression, I aimed to capture not just Gordo’s appearance, but his essence—a quiet guardian watching over the cosmos. The luminous night sky, full of movement and mystery, mirrors the timeless companionship and soulful presence that pets gift to our lives.

This original has found its forever home with its family, but the guardian’s gaze still speaks of love, loyalty, and starlit wonder.
